The importance of their respective account is immense to every Facebook user. Facebook authorities themselves are aware of that. After various privacy settings, security checking, two-step verification and login alerts, Facebook has come up with a USB key verification system.
When you turn on this security system, you will need to enter a small USB device into the PC's USB port after entering the password when logging in to your Facebook account from a new computer. Otherwise the account cannot be logged in.
Does the matter seem a little complicated? Making it easier. The "USB Key" is a device as small as a pen drive. To enable this security feature, you will first need a special type of USB device. Nowadays different companies are making such USB keys. These look like pen drives. To activate the USB key security method on your Facebook account, you first need to buy a new USB key. Then you have to connect that USB key to the computer like a pen drive. Now you have to go to the settings page of Facebook and register the USB key with the Facebook account.
Then whenever you go to login to a Facebook account from a new computer, after giving the username-password, you have to connect this USB to the USB port of that new computer. Then the Facebook server will understand that the real owner of the Facebook account is actually logging in to the account.
Since the mobile device does not have a USB port, even if you turn on the USB key method, you must use the SMS or app code generator method on the mobile. Moreover, at the moment only the latest version of Google Chrome and Opera browser on the computer supports this USB key method of Facebook. So mobile verification will still be useful.
However, when the SMS on the mobile will be late or the code generator can not be used due to the lack of Facebook app, then USB can be a quick solution. Several companies, including Google and Dropbox, have already introduced this security method.
